Immigration or no Immigration
Today I read an article on Facebook about this man that researched what America would save financially if all 20 million illegal immigrants were deported back to Mexico. I was a good read but I found a few flaws in their plan.
They said that in certain states schools would be better off because they would lose these immigrant children and due to not having to provide free lunches, things would be better for the schools. I disagree, I mean perhaps the government will gain financially due to not having to provide the lunches but they may also lose the schools due to not enough students. Then the local "American students" would have to bus further to get to an open school. We would have to pay more in gas to get the students there and home and I'm sure that this would equal out the money situation with the lunch money. Less students?? Less teachers, this leaves more unemployed "Americans" out there looking for work. Unemployment rate goes up.
They also said that if the 20 million were deported that more real "Americans" would have higher paying jobs and unemployment would go down. How so? How does those 20 million people leaving our country make more higher paying jobs for the "REAL" Americans? If someone can explain this to me I'd be grateful. Most of the illegal aliens in our country work under the table at low paying jobs so if they were no longer working these jobs, how does one assume this would open higher paying jobs? If they mean that companies would be forced to hire American citizens that wont work for next to nothing, perhaps, but if companies could afford to pay more wouldn't they already be doing this? In my opinion less people will be hired because they'd have to be paid a living wage and then those few hired would have to do the work of more than one person. Worth it yet? They say that the economy will get better because these few hired at a living wage people will spend their money. Don't illegals spend their money now? Do they not rent apartments? Eat food? (and for those of you saying to yourself "they get foodstamps so they don't need to spend money on food") Not true! The amount of money a four person family receives from food stamps is next to nothing, $400.00 a month max. Could you feed your four person family with $400.00 dollars a month?
Border patrol could lose their jobs. Especially if Donald Trump gets his way and we build a wall on the border. For the first bit they will still have jobs but when no ones crossing the border they will no longer have a reason to have a border patrol.
They say crime will go down. I seriously doubt this but if it does, less policeman, less judges, less prisons. So when your wife is raped and they can't house the criminal, don't complain because they don't have enough man power or that the criminal was released early.
There is no way that dropping 20 million people out of the country will be good in any way shape or form. I know that certain things seem like they will be better but when you really think about things is that true?

Depressing Facebook posts
One thing that drives me completely crazy (short drive) are people who post on Facebook about depressing things. Now don't get me wrong, I know that Facebook can be an outlet for people, especially people who live alone but if reading your posts cause me to feel like crap on a daily basis, you may need to see a counselor.
I'm not talking about the people that post every once in a while who are having a rotten day and just need to get it out of their system. I'm talking about the people who NEVER and I mean NEVER have anything positive to say about anything in their life. The worst part I think is that most of the aforementioned people post not just once a day but up to ten times a day. Never on the same subject either or on the off chance that it is on the same subject, whatever is going has definitely gotten worse. I cannot imagine having a life that is so bad that I have absolutely nothing good to say on any given day.
I watched a movie once starring Michelle Pfieffer and George Clooney, called One Fine Day. Something in this movie really interested me as a parent. At dinner time they played a game at the dinner table called "high/low". It's a simple game, each person seated at the table tells the high point of their day and then the low point of their day. Everyone always has a high point even if its just that they had coffee in the morning or got to watch tv for five uninterrupted minutes. It teaches you to find a high part in everyday of your life! I think that some people need to start playing this game, even if they live alone so that they can find some positive things in their life.
There are times such as this past weekend that I want to comment on their status and tell them to go outside and do as many things as they can until they find something fun or something that makes them smile. Then they should come back in and post a picture of it to facebook. Thing is I'm afraid that in some cases murder would be involved so I don't suggest it! What I really want to suggest is that they stop posting if they have nothing good to say.
My second favourite type of Facebook post is when people post the "I know you are watching me and reporting to someone with my posts", who the hell cares? I mean if your status updates are that personal that you don't want your ex reading them or knowing something, then don't post what you don't want shared, its the only answer to your problem. Spending three or more hours trying to figure out who betrayed you when you really left your settings on public is a waste of valuable time. More a waste is once you think you have it figured out and you dump people as friends just because it could possibly have been them. Now not only has your ex won but you've just lost a friend or two. Plus the people reading your rants on Facebook now have a lower opinion of you because you aired your dirty laundry in public.
Please, if you ever see me take a downward spiral on Facebook, let me know or delete me and save yourself reading my depressive rants!
Until the next rant,
Edith

The First Post
The First post on a blog has always been the hardest for me, after that you can barely keep me quiet. I decided to start this blog because of so many things I want to scream about LOL. I generally don't get mad easily but I don't like stupid, inconsiderate and blah blah blah. I read posts on facebook that offend me or I see someone wearing pajamas to the doctors office or the grocery store and ugh I lose faith in mankind. So rather than keep all of these wonderful things inside I've decided to share them with you all. Aren't you thrilled and delighted? I know I am! BTW just so you know I am a big believer in the exclamation mark!!! I find it gets my point across so that you know I'm really excited about something.
I do tend to go on sometimes and may bore you in the future but I promise you will find something on this blog to laugh about, cry about, or say WTF about! So if today's posts don't enthrall you, tomorrow's or yesterday's might. I may not agree with your feelings on any given subject but that's the great thing about having an opinion, not everyone has the same one. It's also one of the greatest things about being American that I love; the ability to be able to express my opinion without going to jail! HA! One thing I always tell people about me is that I seem to have 13 different personalities, so one day you may think you know me and the next you will see a completely different me. It's okay too, I'm already seeing a counselor!
I invite you all to read my many musings and make all the comments that you want, just know that if you comment and it goes against any culture, race, religion or person, your comment will be deleted and I may have to ban you from my blog. I don't put up with that type of shit. Enjoy, learn, laugh and cry!
